The Santa Monica Police Officers Association has been a member of the community since 1937. We represent the 220 men and women who fill the ranks of the Santa Monica Police Department.

The SMPOA was founded in 1937 for purposes of:

• Promoting good fellowship and friendly cooperation amongst our membership, and between our members and the people of Santa Monica.
• Aiding or securing aid for our members and families who may be ill, injured or in distress.
• Doing charitable work for the benefit of members and non-members alike.

Our membership is actively involved in the community, donating time and support to many organizations, charities and events in Santa Monica.
